Job Description:

About the Role

The Digital Content Platforms department is one of six strategic units within the Corporate IT department, responsible for implementing central IT platforms for digital content, focusing on digital media, marketing, and language technologies for all ZEISS business units and corporate functions worldwide. The role involves comprehensive application management for all ZEISS divisions, their customers, partners, and agencies.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the development, operation, administration, maintenance, and updating of our application environment, web servers, and databases on-premise and in the cloud.
2. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for the applications under your responsibility.
3. Support digitalization and standardization of internal processes and projects; act as the first point of contact and train global segments.
4. Collaborate with users, internal, and external stakeholders to find optimal solutions for ZEISS.

Your Profile

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, IT business administration, or relevant IT training.
• Experience with content management, planning, and road mapping tools (e.g., SharpCloud), content collaboration, and real-time content distribution platforms.
• Good knowledge of web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Wildfly, JBOSS) and databases (preferably MS SQL and Oracle).
• In-depth knowledge of application management of SaaS applications, web technologies, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of ITIL service management processes.
• Confident communication across hierarchical levels.
• Fluent English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
• Methodological skills include analytical and structural thinking, excellent presentation skills, solution-oriented working, and the ability to develop or combine solution patterns.
