Annual Salary Range:

$140,000 to $180,000 with Full Benefits to include Health/Dental/Vision and PTO.

Description:

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a top-tier software engineer to join our team. We focus on solving challenging customer problems through innovative technical solutions. Our engineers develop next-generation technologies that influence decision-making and support national defense. We value engineers who bring fresh ideas across various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, AI, NLP, and UI design. We look for versatile engineers with leadership qualities and enthusiasm for tackling new problems to advance technology.

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithms, large data manipulation, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on documented requirements. Work individually or in teams. Review and test software components for compliance with design requirements and document results. Resolve software issues. Apply suitable software development methodologies. Contribute to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, reuse, COTS/GOTS integration, and requirements analysis from system to component level.

Experience with some or all of the following:

  • Programming languages like Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Ruby, Go
  • IDEs such as Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio, VS Code
  • Operating systems including Windows, Unix, Linux, macOS
  • Tools like JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow
  • Frameworks such as Spring, Angular, Bootstrap
  • Databases like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB
  • Build tools including Maven, Jenkins
  • Containers and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes
  • Configuration management tools such as Git, SVN, CVS
  • Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Requirements:

  • Seven (7) years of software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Alternatively, four (4) years of additional software engineering experience can substitute for a degree.
  • TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance is mandatory.
