This role is VP / CTO of Engineering for the entire product portfolio. It is a direct line manager role, responsible technically and architecturally for the technical direction of all products and engineering teams. The ideal candidate is an innovator, experienced in leveraging cutting-edge technology, ideally supported by AI / LLM, who can inspire change and drive adoption within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize and develop innovative AI-powered solutions that are highly differentiated in the market.
2. Focus areas for VP Engineering include:
   1. Quality – bugs, incidents, reliability metrics, uptime, and scaling validation.
   2. Velocity – features shipped, code output, developer experience.
   3. Cost – payroll, contractors, cloud spend, tooling.
   4. People – hiring metrics, candidate NPS, attrition.
   5. Compliance – relevant regulatory needs.

Minimum Technical Requirements:

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
• Deep technical leadership with obsession for technology.
• End-to-end architecture knowledge and experience in building architectures, product, and roadmaps.
• Expertise in LLMs, transformers, NLP techniques, and experience with providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta.
• Experience with explainable AI and model interpretability.
• Autonomy and leadership in hiring and team building.
• Vision for the business in 3, 6, and 9 months.
• Ability to articulate problems and create actionable plans.
• Metrics tracking, ideally linked to revenue.
