In this position, you will be part of our Chapter Software Engineering. The chapter represents all experts who deliver essential software development and engineering capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to keep E.ON’s code base modern, secure, and excellent.

The products you will be working on belong to our team Digital Solutions | Future Energy Home. This team develops and operates software to manage home energy devices such as photovoltaic systems, inverters, batteries, EV charging wall boxes, heat pumps, and meters as a cloud-based solution for our central and local units, enabling them to rollout these solutions to end-customers. We integrate with numerous vendors’ devices and apply centralized insights, analytics, and control mechanisms for these devices.

Meaningful & Challenging - Your Tasks

• Backend Software Development for our Future Energy Home product portfolio using Typescript & NodeJS based on AWS cloud
• Analyzing third-party APIs, mapping data models and data concepts to our models for proper integration
• Collaborating with solution architects, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver the best experience to our end-customers
• Ensuring clean code and architectures, identifying, communicating, planning, and performing refactoring to improve the product
• Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in software technologies and frameworks, sharing and discussing ideas within our Community of Practice

Authentic & Ambitious - Your Profile

• Several years of experience in Typescript and the NodeJS/npm ecosystem, optionally React / React Native
• Experience in cloud-native software design and familiarity with web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, etc.)
• Profound experience with AWS cloud technologies utilizing serverless services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis)
• Proven track record in utilizing DevOps tooling (e.g., GitLab, SonarQube, CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK)
• Experience with Python
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and coach other developers
