Job Description

In an international environment, and as part of our central Export Control team, the Export Control System Manager combines Data Analysis, LEAN, and Digitalization functions for all Vitesco locations worldwide. Working closely with regional Export Control teams, this role supports the ongoing optimization of our internal compliance program by developing improvement measures and standardizing workflows. The Export Control System Manager acts as an in-house consultant for process optimization and strategy development in LEAN and Digitalization.

The Export Control Specialist / Classification reports directly to the Head of Export Control and assists in enhancing the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) of Vitesco Technologies.

Your Responsibilities

Systems

• Serve as an interface between Export Control and other stakeholders (IT department) to automate processes and develop effective IT solutions.
• Manage the implementation and updates of export control requirements in the group-wide IT system.
• Identify IT architecture and process relevance to export control and define requirements to ensure compliance.
• Develop and enforce guidelines and standards for IT solutions related to export control.
• Oversee data analytics and risk analysis tools, ensuring their maintenance and enhancement.

Compliance Operations

• Advise on business decisions through data analysis to optimize resource allocation and efficiency.
• Coordinate with the Master Data Governance Team to store relevant information properly.

Data Analytics

• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide comprehensive export control data insights.
• Analyze datasets to identify risks and support decision-making.
• Develop risk patterns and mitigation strategies.

Process Optimization

• Create an internal knowledge base on export control for stakeholder education.
• Lead workshops to identify process improvements.
• Develop strategies for continuous process improvement using LEAN methods.
• Manage LEAN projects to enhance process efficiency.
• Promote a LEAN mindset within the organization.
• Research and implement digital solutions, supporting automation and innovation initiatives.

Your Profile

• Degree in business informatics, administration, or a similar field.
• Several years of experience in export control and sanctions law, especially German, European, and international regulations.
• Experience in developing and implementing export control measures in SAP and related IT tools.
• Proficiency in SAP, data analytics, and digital solutions.
• International work experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT understanding.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI.
• Knowledge of LEAN methods and digital transformation.
• Ability to present effectively to leadership teams.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and a collaborative mindset.
