Job Title: Retail Development Manager (m/f/d)
Based At: Wertheim Village
SUMMARY:
The Retail Development Manager (m/f/d) will be part of Retail Development team, responsible for all retail architecture & design matters at Wertheim Village.
Key elements for success include advanced experience and knowledge in retail architecture & design, communication skills, and relationship building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate visits, briefings, and information supply to brand partners for shop-fit projects.
- Manage fit-out processes for new openings, re-merchandising, and re-fit programs.
- Ensure brands provide complete and proper information for design scheme approvals and check designs.
- Schedule and participate in site visits and meetings with brands, including reporting and follow-up.
- Enhance shop-fit quality to meet standards of excellence.
- Ensure internal works comply with German building regulations and internal standards.
- Ensure brand compliance with statutory requests, warranties, insurances, permits, and safety regulations.
- Ensure brands meet sustainability requirements.
- Address post-opening snag lists and follow-up actions.
- Facilitate communication with contractors, project managers, and suppliers, monitoring on-site progress.
- Manage local special projects and external relationships, including authorities and utility services.
- Coordinate with departments on shop-fit issues, costs, and invoices.
- Develop systems and procedures to improve shop-fit processes.
- Collaborate with legal and commercial teams on shop-fit issues.
- Train, manage, and mentor the Retail Development team.
- Support drawings and feasibility requests for units and projects.
- Define and manage RD budget, control costs, and approve purchase orders.
- Work closely with central and local teams across various departments.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Five years of experience in business.
- Strong communication skills at all business levels.
- Ability to use initiative, anticipate requests, and think proactively.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Disciplined, stress-resilient, organized, and responsible.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Fluent in English and German; additional European languages are advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the store opening process.
