As Rome2Rio continues to grow and expand the partnership with Omio, we're building a new Europe-based Ads Product team to develop innovative advertising solutions that enhance our platform while providing value to both users and partners. This team will collaborate closely with both our Melbourne headquarters and Omio's Berlin teams.

Job Description

We're expanding our team with two Senior Software Development Engineers to join our new Europe-based Ads Product team. These roles will be instrumental in designing and implementing the technical foundations of our advertising products, with a focus on backend systems and third-party platform integrations. You'll be working with a mix of technologies to create scalable, high-performance solutions that seamlessly integrate with our existing platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust backend systems for our advertising platform
• Develop and maintain API integrations with third-party advertising platforms
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that meets our high standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Rome2Rio's Melbourne headquarters and Omio's Berlin office
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of our engineering practices
• Help shape the technical direction of our advertising products

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong backend development skills with API design and integration experience
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python)
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with advertising platforms and ad tech integrations is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Experience working in agile, remote teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
