To strengthen our team at the Mainz site, we are looking for a


IT Application Specialist
(m/w/d)


Main Tasks:

  • Ensure compliance with standards, good cybersecurity practices, local regulations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively contribute to the Global IT Shared Services Delivery strategy.
  • Responsible for the service delivery of local and global platforms, including application layer areas, ensuring quality and performance of IT solutions.
  • Provide support for local and global platforms.
  • Implement and extend company tools, promote their use within the business, and advise on best practices to maximize features.
  • Identify areas for improvement, including user training, to enhance IT and process efficiencies.
  • Engage with users and stakeholders to clarify needs and explore solutions.
  • Deliver quality configuration and development work related to IT systems, managing estimation, planning, and progress reporting.

Skills:

  • Engineer or university degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the IT business landscape, especially ERP/CRM systems (Sage, MS Dynamics, S/4Hana).
  • Experience with databases, SQL queries, and business intelligence tools like Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps.
  • Ability to understand business processes and needs, managing expectations and scope.
  • Experience managing external suppliers and IT vendors.
  • Knowledge of the life sciences industry is preferable.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and relevant experience with customers or functional areas.
  • Fluent in English.
