At BMW Car IT, a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW AG, we design and implement embedded software for electronic control units of BMW cars, along with related tools and frameworks. We deliver software from conception to final product, leading BMW into the future of digitalization and mobility.

Your role involves driving the software development of the SW-platform for an Infotainment Control Unit.

What awaits you?

1. Deliver a Linux-based Software-platform for BMW infotainment projects.
2. Plan, coordinate, and track activities of our software suppliers based on your understanding of the Linux kernel.
3. Review and approve software deliveries based on requirements, quality, and project milestones.
4. Coordinate with multiple projects on priorities and deliveries.
5. Report progress and issues to project management.

What should you bring along?

1. University degree in Computer Science or a related field (B.Eng./ B.Sc./ M.Sc./ Ph.D.).
2. Experience in agile software practices and managing external partners.
3. At least 5 years of experience with Linux and Yocto technology.
4. Experience working in large, distributed software teams.
5. Knowledge of software domains on Linux, especially in embedded systems.
6. Experience with open source components is a plus.
7. Ability to make tough decisions on scope and priorities.
