We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Investor Relations and Treasury.This is a crucial role for our company that directly influences the company’s valuation and market reputation by aligning financial messaging with investor expectations and corporate strategy.
In this role you will be responsible for positioning our company strategically and act as the primary contact for sell side analysts, investors, rating agencies and other stakeholders.
You report directly to Eva Scherer, CFO of Daimler Truck and member of the Board of Management, and you are an integral member of the Finance Leadership Team.
What You Can Expect / Main Challenges:
- You continuously refine the company’s investor relations and equity strategy aligned with the overall corporate goals and all relevant internal stakeholders such as Strategy, Finance, and Communications.
- You drive and coordinate all capital market disclosures, including ad-hoc announcements, earnings releases, and regulatory filings.
- You craft key talking points for all investor communications, including press releases, earnings call scripts, Q&A, Capital Market Day events, investor conferences, and one-on-one meetings
- You systematically identify and engage target investors, maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, fund managers, and equity analysts.
- You monitor capital market trends, peer companies’ positioning, analyst opinions, and industry valuation trends.
- You support the Board of Management in communicating financial results and strategic developments.
- You lead investor communications around capital market-relevant transactions such as M&A activities, carve-outs, IPOs, or capital increases
- You are responsible for Investor meetings, roadshows, conferences, and other events to communicate the company’s financial performance and strategic direction. This includes also crisis management during periods of crisis or significant changes.
- You lead Daimler Truck’s global Treasury organization, including its various overseas Treasury centers.
- You strategically review and continuously refine the global Treasury strategy to align with dynamic market environments, rating agency requirements, and regulatory changes.
- You manage financial risks including liquidity, interest rate, currency, and commodity risks, and develop comprehensive risk management strategies.
- You oversee global payment operations, capital and dividend measures and support Sales with hedging and financing solutions.
- You steer refinancing initiatives in global debt and capital markets for Financial Services, developing and executing optimal funding strategies.
- You lead the global Corporate Insurance function, responsible for the selection, management, and optimization of corporate insurance policies (including property, transport, and liability insurance) for Daimler Truck.
- You ensure robust governance functions, maintaining impeccable oversight and control mechanisms to safeguard compliance with internal and external regulations.
Qualifications
Requirements /Personality:
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral, with the presence and confidence to interact with senior executives and investors and represent Daimler Truck at investor conferences
- Strong financial and business acumen, including a firm grasp of financial metrics and modeling
- Highly entrepreneurial, collaborative and strategic with strong interpersonal skills combined with the desire to work closely with various teams across the company
- High level of commitment, integrity and professionalism for building trust with investors, rating agencies, and financial authorities
- Capability to work under changing circumstances and managing multiple priorities
Why You Are a Match/ Qualification:
- Degree in economics, business, finance, or comparable
- About 10+ years of experience including sell or buy side equity research or investor relations at a public company; additional treasury or similar experience is a plus
- Proficiency in English
