Job Description

Assist in corporate and legal matters and related processes for the EMEA region for a globally focused medical device corporation. Prepare, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts and provide advice and counsel to various business functions, including Clinical, Sales, Marketing, Compliance, and IT. Must be able to perform legal assignments with a high degree of independence, be detail-oriented, and adapt to changing priorities as well as a high volume of work under tight deadlines. Perform legal work, conduct research, and provide legal support and counsel to various functions. This position will reside in our office in Duesseldorf, Germany.

Job duties:
  1. Perform contract related activities, including negotiating and drafting agreements such as clinical trial agreements, consulting agreements, distribution agreements, master service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  2. Create, maintain, and update contract templates.
  3. Provide legal advice and support on various issues, including management of preliminary work, negotiation, drafting, and follow-up.
  4. Collaborate closely with the company's various business units, including Clinical, Sales, Marketing, Compliance, and IT, to support their contract and legal needs.
  5. Assist with GDPR compliance, including assessment, drafting processes, and agreements.
  6. Complete special projects as requested and participate in the Legal Department's initiatives and development.
  7. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes, and demonstrate ethics and integrity at all organizational levels.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
