Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Power Transformers to manage our projects in this area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering, specifically focused on power systems and transformers.

Your responsibilities

1. You lead accordingly to optimize technical and cost criteria on the basis of customer specifications and input of the electrical designer
2. You review existing CAD designs and identify elements that need to be updated or modified to align with branding standards
3. You define the type and configuration of the transformer tanks, the position and details of the cooling system, and other exterior components
4. You complete design modeling with the computer-aided design system to produce manufacturing drawings
5. The design phase includes compiling approval documentation for customers (dimensional and transport drawings), preparing structural analysis, and initiating pre-orders for components
6. You are responsible for preparing customer approval documentation, structural analysis, and initiating pre-orders for components
7. You handle tender preparation, collaborate with mechanical and electrical design teams, coordinate with workshops, project management, suppliers, and maintain direct contact with customers
8. You must demonstrate initiative, work independently, and possess good communication skills in English. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, especially large-scale transformers, is required.

Your background

1. You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
2. You possess good basic electrical engineering and transformer-specific knowledge
3. You have good German and English language skills
4. You can work closely with mechanical and electrical designers, workshops, and suppliers, and are capable of contributing effectively in a team
5. You have professional experience in mechanics
