We are currently looking for a qualified English-speaking education professional to help implement the Fröbel focus “Bilingual Education” at our education and care service Freudenberg in Berlin-Friedrichshain.

To support the team at our Fröbel kindergarten Freudenberg, we are looking for an

English speaking early childhood educator (m / f / d)

who will work with children from 0-6 years with a working time of 30 - 39.5 hours per week.

About our facility

At our Fröbel kindergarten Freudenberg, a dedicated, humorous and creative team looks after 90 children from one to six years of age. Our pedagogy is characterised by openness, participation and individualisation. Our educators respond to the needs and interests of the children by incorporating these into their everyday educational activities. A stimulating environment with a variety of materials promotes the children's educational and developmental processes.

With us, you can play a creative role in shaping the children's everyday lives. With our vision of “One House”, we are also happy about your willingness to work in a rotation system, in both, the kindergarten and also the nursery areas. You are welcome to contribute your personal passion for music, drama or another creative skill into the day-to-day pedagogical work and implement our special focus on bilingual education together with us. There are large and open room structures on two floors, which provide the children and educators with the appropriate space and framework for creative ideas. In addition, our own garden offers the children space to play and discover. We are also working towards becoming a "workshop" daycare center. Your responsibilities would include :

• Supporting all aspects of early childhood education and care in English,
• Being in charge of (or supporting according to experience and qualification) the settling-in process,
• Planning, implementing and documenting pedagogical processes and daily routines (as part of a team),
• Completing (or supporting according to experience and qualification) structured observation and documentation of the children’s development and educational processes,
• Developing successful cooperation with parents.

Do you fulfill the following requirements?

• Are you in the process of learning German? Proven German language skills on at least level B1 are a requirement for this position.
• Do you have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or a similar qualification? Are you interested in developing your professional skills?
• Would you like to learn more about education policies in Germany and how these are being implemented in practice?
• Do you believe that children should have opportunities to encounter foreign languages at an early age and that they should define their own learning experience?
• Are you interested in working as part of a team to design and implement an in-house bilingual education concept?
