We are looking for a highly dedicated Business Development Manager to drive direct sales, identify new customers, and develop strategic opportunities within Prediction and Protection systems for rotating assets. This role is essential to develop, maintain, and improve Machinery Health Management (MHM) business in the DACH region (Germany, Austria & Switzerland), with a strong focus on our MHM Online Protection and Condition Monitoring portfolio.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Achieve and exceed sales, bookings, and gross profit targets for the RS Group’s products, services, and solutions within the defined product groups.
  • Identify and target potential customers or industry segments through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on direct sales activities, from prospecting to closing deals, while utilizing internal sales resources when beneficial, maintaining independence in direct sales efforts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitors to refine sales approaches.
  • Follow strategic goals and initiatives from the RS BU and develop plans to achieve these within the assigned product portfolio to drive growth.
  • Negotiate business contracts with customers within the agreed delegation of authority, including discounts, pricing, and volume structures.
  • Collaborate closely with the existing SYSS sales force, operations, factories, and other European and global contacts to maximize alignment and leverage existing contacts to promote the RS MHM Online portfolio.
  • Track and manage sales opportunities in a CRM, ensuring timely follow-ups and deal progression.
  • Lead price negotiations, contract discussions, and closing processes to secure profitable deals.
  • Promote the “Think Customer” culture in all aspects of the role.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Demonstrated experience in indirect sales and business development.
  • Studies in engineering or equivalent experience in industrial companies.
  • Understanding of business drivers in the process industry and plant automation, including decision-making processes.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Proven experience in Condition Monitoring / Machine Protection.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.
