Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Critical Facilities Engineer to join our Frankfurt Critical Facilities Team at FR11. This shift role involves maintaining our critical infrastructure. As an Engineer reporting to our Critical Facilities Team, you will have extensive data center experience and strong technical knowledge of critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing semi-routine maintenance and repairs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting site administration.

You will complete work orders, collaborate on infrastructure projects, and assist in vendor and contractor management. You will also mentor new employees and entry-level team members, sharing your expertise to help them grow. Responsibilities

  1. Facility Maintenance: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems.
  2. Repairs and Inspections: Conduct repairs, installations, and inspections of facility components. Support energy efficiency initiatives.
  3. Vendor Support: Manage work approval processes, ensure maintenance follows procedures, and update technical files with vendors.
  4. Site Administration: Maintain logs for permits, identify SPOFs, manage incidents, and support audits.
  5. Incident Response: Respond to on-site incidents, supporting site operations.
  6. Collaboration: Work with team members on incident resolution, mentoring, and inventory management.
  7. Supervision and Guidance: Supervise junior staff, provide instruction, and guidance on tasks.
  8. Change Management: Manage change control processes, ensuring approvals and minimal disruptions.

Requirements

  1. Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English and German.
  2. Educational Background: Vocational training as an electrician, electronics technician, energy electronics technician, refrigeration, or air conditioning technician, or equivalent.
  3. Experience: Intermediate/high-level knowledge of critical infrastructure (UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, HVAC, CRAH units, safety systems) and hands-on maintenance experience. Experience in managing maintenance logs and documentation.
  4. Customer Service: Self-motivated, flexible, and able to communicate with customers.
  5. Shift work: Willingness to work 24/7 shifts.
