This is a US Local National position in Germany. The employee will be subject to German taxes and will be part of the German workforce with all the benefits of HN employment and social systems.

Responsibilities

1. Provides Tier 1 Technical Support tasks.
2. Provides Tier 2 support for Network Administrator tasks, including all SSD sections such as Networking, Systems, DevOps, and Information Assurance. Escalates requests and incidents following SOPs.
3. Manages operation, troubleshooting, restoration, configuration, installation, and security of government-provided networks, wireless access points, control systems, and related devices to ensure 99% uptime during core hours.
4. Conducts site surveys for potential wireless service locations.
5. Supports wired LAN and wireless network services for customers.
6. Installs IOS updates on switches and routers; troubleshoots devices as needed.
7. Performs cable management, preventive maintenance, and unit-level maintenance on CAT-5/6 and fiber systems per industry standards.
8. Manages GCMC SCCM and/or HCL BigFix, including testing, deployment, and patch management, and supports mobile device management.
9. Installs, configures, and maintains Windows servers, peripherals, and access permissions in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
10. Performs system monitoring, verifies hardware and system integrity, reviews logs, and ensures backup completion.

Qualifications

1. At least 3 years of systems administration experience.
2. Minimum 2 years of networking experience.
3. IAT II Security+ Certification.
4. CCNA Wireless Certification or equivalent.
5. Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting a virtual (VMware & vSphere) environment, including backups and upgrades.
6. Experience in creating and maintaining reports, images, deployment packages, and schedules.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Ability to lift up to 35kg.
9. Must have lived in Germany for at least 1 year consecutively.
10. Fluency in German is required.
11. This position requires presence in the office 5 days a week.
