We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an IT Administrator within our IT team to help support our Automotive business. Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? That’s right! Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. As an IT Administrator, you will have the opportunity to support our European team. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by being the point of contact for our users at our European headquarters in Nuremberg.

As an IT Administrator, you will:

  1. Be responsible for setting up and administering client and server systems (Windows, vSphere) as well as supporting and maintaining the infrastructure for our European locations (network, switches, connectivity).
  2. Take care of the administration of user accounts and authorizations in Active Directory.
  3. Work in international and intercultural project teams and support the implementation of global projects.
  4. Process incidents, changes, and service requests.
  5. Create, revise, and maintain documentation, processes, procedures, and checklists.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Successfully completed training or studies as an IT specialist for system integration, IT systems electronics technician, (business) informatics, or comparable training.
  • Several years of professional experience in the administration of a Microsoft-controlled environment (sound understanding of servers, clients, MS applications, SQL, SharePoint).
  • Experience in dealing with network components (Cisco, Dell, ISCSI Storages).
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell.
  • English and German spoken and written.
  • Quality-oriented working style, teamwork.
  • Experience in vSphere, Veeam, IP telephony, Apple Phones is desirable.
  • Knowledge, possibly certifications in ITIL / ISO27001 are an advantage.
