Über unsThis role is available at both Level 4 and Level 5. If your experience aligns with Level 4, we encourage you to apply for that position. Amazon is seeking a number of Site Process Experts to work in the EU Process Excellence (EUSC PE) team. The Site Process Expert is a Field onsite position and will need to adapt to local shifts requirements, depending on Operations needs. The roles will be based in one of our Sortation Centres (SC) across the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France.

Team Overview

The EU PE team is a group of operational leaders driving process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement for the EU SC network. This team is essential to establish best-in-class process performance across various processes, accelerate technological advancements, and strengthen technical and process knowledge for operational leaders. EU PE ensures operations teams are equipped with the expertise to deliver gains from technology and process improvements. The team also focuses on process control and performance consistency across shifts and regions.

Collaboration and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Core Process Experts, Change Managers, Operations, Ops Excellence, Program teams, Engineering, and RME teams to improve process input metrics.
  • Deploy initiatives, build networks within the SC, and drive compliance within assigned timelines.
  • Initiate and implement EU-wide improvement activities, demonstrating ownership and influence to achieve tangible productivity gains.
  • Gain insights into Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, progressing towards Green/Yellow Belt certification.
  • Support multiple sites virtually, including LEJ7, KSF7, and others as needed.
Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Identify top opportunities through Back to Basics initiatives, focusing on bottom 50% processes, and implement improvement plans with local management.
  2. Oversee the SC improvement program, analyze performance data, and convert insights into actionable plans.
  3. Review open Action Plans weekly, engaging stakeholders to meet targets.
  4. Collaborate with CPE, CM, and other Site PEs for process clarification and benchmarking.
  5. Drive network best practice implementation and capture innovative ideas through a standard process.
  6. Support daily Gemba walks and build strong relationships with SC leadership.
  7. Assist in ad hoc process-related tasks and support operational teams as needed.
  8. Travel domestically and regionally as required (estimated 0-10%).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in English and local language (C1 level).
  • Experience in Amazon Operations or similar roles as Area Manager.
  • Preferred: Strong experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, change management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, detail orientation, and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
