Responsibilities:

• Develop precious metal-coated metal substrate electrodes, especially for water electrolysis.
• Evaluate and develop processing and coating technologies.
• Implement quality control and analytical methods for process optimization.
• Identify material and electrode requirements for application development.
• Address application-specific issues and optimize based on customer requirements.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate experiments independently, coordinating with stakeholders.
• Manage external prototype manufacturing and pilot-scale production.
• Work independently in an international environment, presenting results clearly.

Qualifications:

• Degree in natural sciences, materials science, or engineering (MSc preferred).
• Several years of experience in R&D or production of metal substrate electrodes and precious metal coatings, preferably for hydrogen applications.
• Knowledge of electrolysis cell components, especially porous transport layers.
• Expertise in processing methods for metal deposition and analytical characterization.
• Understanding of electrochemical processes on metal electrodes.
• Good project and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English and MS Office, with experience in creating specifications.
