The role

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the success of the business by effectively initiating and driving incremental sales in a professional, value-adding, and customer-focused manner.

Key responsibilities
  1. Grow the company's air and ocean freight services in alignment with the sales strategy; proactively interact and acquire new customers for ocean, air, and customs brokerage.
  2. Act as the primary sales contact for assigned customers; build strong, long-lasting relationships to develop additional business opportunities.
  3. Maintain a sales pipeline to meet growth targets; identify, develop, and convert leads into prospects and customers.
  4. Utilize the Global CRM platform to document sales activities and customer details.
Qualifications and skills
  • Research market trends and identify new opportunities, focusing on air and ocean freight.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Business Development within Forwarding in the region.
  • Develop, update, and manage a sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build the pipeline and secure new business.
  • Participate in regional/local RFP/RFQ processes and assess customer needs.
  • Develop solutions, pricing, negotiate, and close deals with new customers.
  • Gather market information, support the Freight Forwarding Manager, and engage in training to stay current with market changes.
