GDIT has an exciting opportunity to participate in the Security Assistance Group – Ukraine (SAG-U) as a member of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program supporting U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s (USAREUR-AF) mission in Wiesbaden Germany. The Network Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and securing operations of various network infrastructures, including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and other essential systems. Your tasks will include implementing significant network enhancements and expansions with a focus on core routing, switching, and network security.
Collaborating with system and security teams, you'll identify requirements, monitor network traffic, and address security concerns, developing and deploying tailored solutions for complex and diverse network environments. This position demands a high degree of technical proficiency and problem-solving skills to provide advanced network support, ensuring the robust and secure operation of mission-critical networks.
HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Provide Tier III support, resolving advanced network issues impacting the mission.
Deliver expertise in Cisco Umbrella DNS services and other network management tools.
Offer technical training and documentation to Help Desk personnel and other departments.
Collaborate with vendors for the design and implementation of new network systems.
Maintain necessary certifications to meet evolving mission and operational requirements.
Participate in procurement processes, including design development and initial bill of materials creation.
Availability for shift work, including weekends and holidays, as required by mission needs..
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience, or higher education with corresponding experience.
Security Clearance Level Required: DoD Secret security clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.
Certifications: CCNA or equivalent industry certification. IAT Level II certification or higher as per DOD 8570.01-M requirements.
Required Skills and Experience: Experience with Cisco ISE, Firepower Management Center, and other network management tools. Proven ability in managing diverse network systems, including classified and unclassified environments. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Physical capability for tasks such as lifting equipment and troubleshooting hardware.
Eligibility for German TESA.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certifications such as CCNP or higher.
Experience with advanced networking concepts, including URL/Network filtering, Geo-Blocking, and virtualization technologies.
Proficiency in developing complex network diagrams and supporting cybersecurity accreditation activities.
Knowledge in ACLs, Route Maps, ports/protocols, and advanced security implementations.

The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
