Your profile

• You hold a university degree (Master or equivalent) or a doctorate/PhD in computer science or a related discipline (e.g., statistics, operations research, management science with a focus on data and/or process science).
• You have experience in developing complex software, preferably related to data processing.
• You are experienced with modern database systems and have familiarity with Big Data platforms like Apache Big Data Stack, Hadoop, Spark, Cloudera / Hortonworks.
• You have a genuine interest or experience in process mining, data science, process management, machine learning, etc., and are willing to demonstrate this during the application process.
• You are eager and capable of co-supervising students working on software-intensive projects.
• You possess excellent communication skills, including in English. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), process mining software (e.g., Celonis), and robotic process automation (e.g., UiPath) is valued.
• You will design, develop, and maintain software for cutting-edge research in data science.
• You will contribute to open-source data science platforms like ProM, RapidMiner, R, etc.
• You will collaborate with industrial partners providing data and feedback on research results.
• You will supervise PhD, Bachelor, and Master students in software development and have limited teaching responsibilities.
