Area Manager Facilities and Material Handling Maintenance (m / f / d)

You will be responsible for maintaining technical building equipment and material handling equipment at our Wiesbaden European Road Network HUB, managing a local team of technicians and a maintenance planner.

Your objectives :

1. Lead and develop a team of technicians to ensure facility and material handling maintenance.
2. Support operational continuity by providing effective services and solutions for maintenance and repair of operational facilities and equipment.
3. Ensure service providers comply with contractual agreements.
4. Lead local initiatives to improve maintenance solutions, including synergies, methods, and planning.
5. Advise and support all management levels and less experienced colleagues.
6. Plan, schedule, and control annual building services maintenance.
7. Coordinate processing and follow-up of fault & downtime reports.
8. Develop and execute maintenance concepts at the sites.
9. Process and present maintenance key figures, costs, and sustainability metrics monthly.
10. Assist the regional and local Operations Department by developing and implementing technical solutions.

Your profile :

• Ideally, a degree in facility management, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related business or technical field.
• Several years of experience leading technical teams.
• Pronounced technical and maintenance expertise.
• Proficiency in German and English.
• Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical engineering.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Experience in evaluating performance requirements and setting priorities.
• Well-developed understanding of contractual processes and managing supplier performance.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services systems.
• Ability to independently organize repair, refurbishment, and build-out projects.
• Experience coordinating remote parties such as suppliers and internal staff.
• Solution-oriented approach to operational and technical problems.
