Qualifikationen

The University of Kassel is a modern and growing university with approximately 22,000 students. Its broad expertise spans natural, applied, cultural, and social sciences.

In the Faculty of Economics and Management, Institute of Management and Business Studies (IBWL) – Sustainable Marketing (Prof. Dr. Ralf Wagner), the following position needs to be filled starting 01.07.2025:

Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H

Part-time position (currently 20 hours per week). Application deadline: 03.06.2025. Date of hire: 01.07.2025. Vacancy number: 38421. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years. It is a qualification position according to 72 HessHG in conjunction with 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG. The possibility of pursuing a doctorate is provided.

Tasks:

1. Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of Sustainable Marketing
2. Participation in projects and summer schools of the department
3. Independent handling of a research subfield at the intersection of marketing, digitalization, and sustainability

Requirements:

• Completed academic master’s degree in Economics, Management, or related disciplines. The degree must be obtained by the start date and qualify for a doctorate at the University of Kassel.
• Methods of empirical data collection and analysis
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

Advantages:

• Knowledge of R, SMARTPLS, or MAXQDA
• Experience in publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals
• Proficiency in German, both spoken and written
