Job Description:

Here at Brenntag, we currently have an opening for a EMEA Innovation & Application Director CASE & Construction.

This role can be based anywhere in Europe.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead EMEA’s IACs to support the commercial function.
• Manage the EMEA-wide Salesforce VAS (technical service requests) and report output to management and key stakeholders.
• Ensure that IACs align with the company’s sustainability policies and targets, and develop projects to meet these goals.
• Develop and maintain a database to capture coatings and construction formulations and know-how.
• Develop and extend our application development capabilities across coatings and construction sectors.
• Work closely with suppliers on innovation, new formulation development, and formulation optimization.
• Identify emerging customer application needs and trends in focus industries with stakeholders.
• Provide technical solutions and application training to technical, commercial teams, and customers.
• Learn new technologies and transfer knowledge to teams.
• Develop proof-of-concept formulations to grow key supplier technologies.
• Identify opportunities for new products or applications considering regulatory changes and market trends.
• Conduct joint visits with commercial teams for technical presentations to customers.
• Investigate customer complaints on quality issues and regulatory inquiries.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop tools and demonstration samples.

Your Profile

• A degree in Material Science or Chemistry is advantageous; relevant technical experience is also considered.
• Multiple years of experience in coatings/construction laboratory or manufacturing, with managerial experience and broad knowledge of CASE applications and markets.
• Self-motivated, driven, independent, and results-oriented.
• Good command of spoken English and strong writing skills for reports, training, and procedures.
• Effective communication skills for presenting technical and product information.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to lead, work independently, and collaborate in a multicultural environment.
