Job Description

Please join us and contribute to our goals with your new role as NPM Purchasing Manager in our EMEA team within Purchasing@ContiTech.

1. Quality and timely procurement of non-production materials (NPM) and services, as well as capital goods, at optimal prices or within the planned budget, in the defined areas, according to existing Continental purchasing guidelines for ContiTech in regional projects.
2. Complete handling of the ordering process via CEOS and SAP, including complaints handling and internal and external communication.
3. Preparing and conducting tenders, offer comparisons, and contract negotiations for procurement projects in the defined areas, sometimes in cooperation with purchasing managers. Create and compile Sourcing Decisions Sheets, ensure BPBoC and NDA signatures, collect financial and commercial records, identify and develop vendors.
4. Partner with Legal, plants, and other regional purchasing roles to handle contracts/agreements, ensuring they are created, approved, signed, and communicated to the affected regions and plants.
5. Set up cost improvement projects, track achievement of goals, and develop global cooperation, strategy, and synergy with different company locations.
6. Support and manage special projects.
7. Secure global supply at competitive prices, considering qualitative and technological aspects and respecting business ramp-up plans.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree with extensive experience and relevant certifications.
2. Several years of experience in procurement, preferably in technical purchasing (NPM area), with verifiable success.
3. Confident handling of SAP and MS Office.
4. Fluent in German and English (writing and speaking).
5. Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
6. Exceptional communication skills, capable of effective communication within a multicultural environment across functions and levels.
7. Independent, responsible work ethic and quick comprehension.
8. Advanced negotiating skills, assertiveness, goal- and result-oriented approach.
9. Willingness to travel (about 5-10%).
