Job Description:

For our client in the aerospace industry, we are looking for motivated candidates for the position of Supply Chain and Quality Manager for A321XLR in Bremen, Germany. This is a temporary employment opportunity with immediate effect.

Your responsibilities:

• Act as interface with suppliers for operational activities.
• Assess suppliers during tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision.
• Manage and contribute to supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, responsible for on-time quality (and on-cost when applicable) performance.
• Manage supplier quality approval, ensuring suppliers are compliant with certifications in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor or support new product introduction, transfer of work, and changes to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase.
• Assess supplier capacity, capability, and performance; contribute to supplier development.
• Identify supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Work out short-term recovery plans.
• Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects.
• Report on supplier operational performance.
• Apply current tools to manage activities related to supplier management.

Personal requirements:

• Ability to recognize and understand technical connections and analyze functionality.
• Independent, structured, and result-oriented work style to achieve goals on time.
• Strong communication skills to interact at all levels.
• Willingness to travel (up to once a month, 2-3 days).
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, technical studies, or industrial engineering.

Professional experience:

• Manufacturing/production: at least 1 year.
• Supplier management: at least 1 year.
• Mechanics: at least 1 year.
• Project management: at least 1 year.
• Quality management: at least 1 year.

IT skills:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP.
• Google Workspace is an advantage.

Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of process management.
• Basic knowledge of risk management.

Language Skills:

• German: at least business fluent.
• English: at least business fluent.

Further qualifications:

• APICS training is an advantage.
