We develop and manufacture essential high voltage power electronic products for traction and other high-voltage systems in electric cars. Our innovations bring value to customers worldwide, enabling the development of inverters and onboard chargers for electric drive trains, facilitating the shift to zero-emission vehicles. If you want to support our global customers technically in developing their charger and inverter systems with our discrete products, join our motivated team as Senior Staff Engineer Product Definition. This role is part of our Technical Ladder, a career path for innovative, knowledgeable, and business-oriented engineers.

In this role, you will:

  1. Identify application trends and future requirements from customer discussions and internal experts.
  2. Drive assessment of innovative product ideas to influence product roadmaps.
  3. Participate in product development projects for discrete products targeting onboard charger applications.
  4. Define product requirements, derive datasheets, and serve as the technical interface to R&D and customers.
  5. Develop and coordinate performance benchmarking projects.
  6. Drive activities from design-in to design-win with automotive customers developing charger applications.
  7. Conduct technical discussions and coordinate requirements for product validation.
  8. Manage uncertainties in early development phases and support innovative solutions.
  9. Validate prototypes and simulation models.
  10. Collaborate closely with regional FAE teams.
  11. Provide technical leadership and support to team members.

You are best suited if you have:

  1. A degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, physics or related fields.
  2. At least 5 years of professional experience in power electronics (automotive, industrial, consumer) in the semiconductor industry or research institutes.
  3. Experience in testing power components.
  4. Knowledge of power technologies such as SiC MOSFETs or IGBTs.
  5. Skills in creating technical content like articles and presentations.
  6. Innovative and open-minded approach.
  7. Practical experience working in project teams.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; German is a plus.
