Jobbeschreibung

Suitable candidates will have experience working as a Technical Project Manager for or alongside a telecoms vendor such as Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, NEC, Rakuten, or Samsung. They should be responsible for design, test, validation, and operational activities.

Key qualifications include:

• Proven customer-facing experience with the ability to explain technical solutions to C-level executives within a global telecoms operator.
• Experience working closely with product and solutions teams, taking end-to-end responsibility for resource estimates, R&R, and statement of work preparation.
• Ownership of the end-to-end relationship with the customer concerning vRAN network design (HLD/LLD), lab deployment, test case validation, and in-life operations, according to the agreed R&R.
• Experience working with or alongside Telefonica or Vodafone in Germany is advantageous.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Defining CaaS project service requirements across delivery and operational phases, and coordinating these with the vendor to clarify R&R and accountability.
2. Ensuring technical deliveries meet high standards and achieving phased sign-offs with the customer by collaborating with the Account Manager, Solution Manager, and Performance team.
3. Full accountability for successful delivery within your scope.
4. Developing and managing processes and procedures related to delivery and operational SLAs.
5. Providing regular internal reports on progress, risks, issues, and milestones.
6. Managing third-party suppliers, such as CaaS vendors, ensuring contractual commitments are met to high standards.
7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customer technical organizations up to Head of Function level to foster engagement and growth.
8. Ensuring sign-off at each technical milestone, including design and test completion.
9. Delivering high-quality documentation for design, test, and in-life functions.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree-level education in Telecoms, IT, or Computer Science.
• At least 10 years of experience in the mobile telecommunication market.
• Confidence and a firm stance in dealings with customers, partners, staff, and subcontractors.
• Proven ability to manage the performance of staff, partners, and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of Open Radio Access Technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud and virtualization technologies, including Kubernetes and Linux.
• Extensive knowledge of network design methodologies and design documentation (HLD/LLD) in RAN/vRAN.
