Job Description:

Splunk is seeking a highly motivated, outcome-focused individual to join our pre-sales Solutions Engineering team as a Solutions Engineer (m/f/d) within the German Strategic team. As a Splunk Solutions Engineer, you’ll support our clients from DAX, MDAX, and selected privately owned companies by being the technical sales resource and expertise on our solutions and their integration within client workflows.

The role involves unifying and expanding the value of the Splunk portfolio through deep technical and domain expertise, focusing on Security and Observability use-cases. Solutions Engineers act as customer-facing technical account leaders, partnering with customers and internal teams to ensure success and growth. Responsibilities include aligning customer use-cases with Splunk capabilities, providing guidance, and collaborating with Solution Architects to implement advanced solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Develop expertise in Splunk’s portfolio and its application to customer challenges
2. Own technical engagement and customer experience within assigned accounts
3. Expand product penetration within customer accounts
4. Operationalize Splunk’s solutions in customer environments
5. Build and maintain relationships with key customer personas
6. Lead relevant Splunk technical resources to ensure optimal outcomes
7. Promote Splunk’s use-cases at industry events and with regional partners

Required Expertise

• 5+ years in selling/delivering enterprise software solutions for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments
• Experience with SaaS delivery models
• Experience in cybersecurity and/or observability (highly desired)
• Ability to develop and lead customer technical strategies
• Trusted advisor status with customers
• Programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, Javascript)
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with enterprise software installation, configuration, and administration
• Experience with German large enterprise customers (plus)
• Experience in security domains like EDR, XDR, SIEM, SOC, SOAR (plus)
