The Digital Integration Platforms department is one of six strategic units within the Digital Experience Platforms Corporate IT area. In this department, we link partners and consumers to the digital ecosystem from ZEISS in an intelligent and operationally sustainable way so that hundreds of applications can exchange data internally and across ZEISS boundaries.

Based on your knowledge and experience, you as the Product Owner assume responsibility for process and application integration on our digital integration platforms from SAP and on Microsoft Azure.

Your other tasks will include:
  • Analyze the complex market and the complex stakeholder landscape as well as create and develop strategy, roadmap and development potentials for the digital integration platforms independently.

  • Budget monitoring for the product in charge (e.g. product development, marketing, training material, operation, additional developer capacity).

  • Manage stakeholders as part of product responsibility and transfer the requirements from the market to the product backlog together with the business analysts.

  • Proactive control of the associated architects in the integration area.

  • Ensuring the use of agile working methods with the team and the ongoing development of these methods.

  • Control bug fixes and obstacle fixes and ensure the timely and successful achievement of set targets.

  • Ensure that the guidelines and the architecture guidelines are observed during integration.

  • You take on representative tasks such as distributing newsletters, you represent the product at internal and possibly also external events, and you are constantly in contact with other product owners.

  • You are also responsible for the Citizen Developer model, taking on tasks such as onboarding, consultation and access decisions.

  • Together with the Security Engineer, you are responsible for the Security Guidelines.


  • Successfully completed studies in informatics or business informatics or comparable relevant IT training.

  • Extensive professional experience in a comparable position and accumulated experience in software engineering in an agile environment.

  • Experience analyzing customer processes and formulating requirements in an agile environment.

  • Extensive experience with API management and business process knowledge in the SAP environment.

  • Very good architecture knowledge for architecture and platform decisions.

  • Experience with market-relevant integration technologies (REST API, SOAP, IDOC, RFC).

  • Experience with the handling of agile procedures (SCRUM, user stories).

  • Experience in a multicultural team.

  • A reliable knowledge of German and English rounds off your profile.
