Solution Architect - German Mission Network (m/w/d)

Start immediately, full or part-time, nationwide at one of our BWI locations.

The Shared Service Architecture department handles delivery-specific solution development and is responsible for the technical design of complex, cross-cutting, and comprehensive IT solutions within the service lines. The focus is on designing and conceptualizing secure, cost-effective IT solutions aligned with customer requirements, leveraging the capabilities of delivery units. Our strength lies in our well-trained employees, specialized in one or more technology areas, working in virtual teams with various stakeholders to shape and develop the IT infrastructure for our clients. The primary focus of this role is solution development within the German Mission Network project and creating highly automated, virtualized platforms for Bundeswehr applications.

• Designing solution options for deployable data center components to operate an automated platform for Bundeswehr applications
• Conceiving backend architectures within different information domains to provide virtualized platforms as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
• Designing data exchange options between deployable and stationary components in a comprehensive deployment scenario
• Conceptualizing deployable data center components up to the virtualization layer

Requirements:

• Completed degree with a focus on IT or equivalent vocational training
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture as an enterprise, solution, or IT architect, or as a technical IT consultant
• Extensive knowledge of traditional infrastructure and cloud platforms, plus at least one of the following: IT security, identity & access management, data center architectures, virtualization platforms, legacy client/server structures
• Knowledge of the IT Baseline Protection Manual and experience in requirements engineering/management (e.g., IREB)
• Proactive and communicative mindset with a strong solution orientation
