In your role as Strategic Purchaser, your main tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a business partner towards all related internal and external stakeholders for your area of responsibility.
• Manage and develop supplier base, performance, relationships, and negotiations in close cooperation with the respective business lines.
• Ensure sourcing objectives and targets on quality, lead times, and cost are met in your area of responsibility.
• Create and update agreements with suppliers, maintain material/supplier master data in relevant systems.
• Lead contract and purchasing negotiations, secure capacity and forecasting.
• Manage supplier performance and relationships, gather and analyze spend and supplier data, execute benchmarking, and provide data to relevant functions.
• Analyze future supply demand in cooperation with the respective functions and stakeholders.
• Support non-conformity/warranty process management in escalated issues.
• Ensure compliance with Supply Management processes, procedures, strategies, and agreements.
• Support material/services cost budgeting and follow-up.
• Support supplier selection and rationalization processes.

As an ideal candidate:

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields such as economics, industrial engineering, or similar.
• You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in strategic purchasing or related areas.
• You are eager to learn and develop, applying innovative thinking.
• You understand the importance of strategic purchasing and sourcing in securing business continuity and sustainable growth.
• You have experience leading and driving projects in cross-functional teams.
• You are proficient in business English and German.
• You are motivated by applying your experience to develop and implement strategies within your area of responsibility.
• You demonstrate clear, transparent, and trustworthy communication.
• You are skilled in building networks.
• You are experienced with SAP transactions and standard procurement processes.
• You are willing to travel approximately 25%, mainly within the EU.
