The role

As SoftwareOne's Global Microsoft Center of Excellence, we identify new business opportunities and work closely with our strategic partner, Microsoft, to design innovative, efficient technology solutions. We stay ahead of technology trends, define best practices, and create architectures to accelerate solution delivery and provide faster time-to-value for our customers. Responsible for global delivery and (Pre-) sales, we define training and enablement requirements across 19 locations, impacting over a thousand employees. As a credible voice in the Microsoft space, we share our expertise at industry events and webinars.

As Global Product Architect for Azure Infra & Migrations, you will be responsible for creating best practices, delivering blueprints, and innovative approaches for solutions and services within the Microsoft CoE, reporting directly to our Microsoft CoE Leader.

Combining your strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Infra & Migrations with a profound understanding of the market, you will anticipate demand and innovate on behalf of customers, driving a clear and differentiated SoftwareOne value proposition in synergy with all of SoftwareOne’s capabilities and services. You will work closely with the Global Product Manager for Microsoft Azure Infra & Migrations, who is accountable for the product roadmap, go-to-market strategies, and sales enablement. Additionally, you will partner with the Demand & Capture organization to help define business cases, formally capture market signals, and accelerate investment and partnership decisions.

• Product Design & Innovation: Drive the creation of repeatable Microsoft Azure & Migrations solutions and accelerators, leveraging ongoing projects and partnerships with Microsoft to package powerful offerings that accelerate time-to-value for SoftwareOne customers.
• Strategic Partnership Management: Own the technology collaboration with Microsoft, including the realization of joint Azure Infra & Migrations offerings, ensuring our offerings are at the forefront of technology and market needs.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal Centres of Excellence and service units to promote integration and synergy across our Azure Infra & Migrations initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to solution development and delivery.
• Product & Delivery Strategy: Define and implement delivery and product strategies aligned with corporate goals, driving growth and thought leadership.
• Delivery Excellence: Elevate our delivery efforts by being a trusted advisor in proposals, solution designs, and architectures, especially for strategic customers and significant deals. Innovate in creating demos, POCs, and presales artifacts that demonstrate our value proposition.
• Advanced Advisories: Lead our Azure Advisory services, employing our established methodology and delivery toolkit, while continuously refining practices based on market trends and feedback.
• SoftwareOne Microsoft Azure & Migrations Portfolio Development: Nurture the development of our portfolio, setting global delivery standards and integrating repeatable components to stay ahead of technological advancements.
• Delivery Enablement & Thought Leadership: Design delivery and pre-sales enablement initiatives, provide expertise and knowledge transfer to enhance delivery effectiveness. Establish yourself as a thought leader through contributions to industry forums and presence at industry events.

What we need to see from you

• Extensive experience in Microsoft and Azure as a Solution Architect or Professional Services Leader.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Linux, Hyper-V, VMWare, Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Entra, Azure Security.
• Relevant technical certifications and solid understanding of Microsoft Cloud products.
• Experience in Cloud Migrations.
• Knowledge of architectural best practices like WAF, CAF, and TOGAF.
• Experience in service delivery model design and execution.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for documentation and product management.
• Experience working with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Professional Services roles; understanding their tools, targets, and motivations.
• A track record of successful and unsuccessful projects, products, and services in Azure and Migrations domains.
• Hands-on experience with the latest Cloud and Azure technologies.
• Strong public speaking skills, with a credible on-stage and social media presence.
