Procurement Consulting:

The Procurement Consulting team is responsible for creating and managing the lodging and meeting programs for our DACH-based customers in a global environment. We always strive to add maximum value to our customers through deep industry expertise, best-practices, benchmarks, and understanding of trends, to further improve the program and to position HRS as the top supplier in the segment.

Supplier Solution:

The Supplier Solution team manages and develops our supplier ecosystem of global and regional hotel chains as well as independent hotels and management companies. We aim to be the partner of choice for the hospitality market through our superior value proposition compared to legacy industry players, leveraging our TravelTech to simplify collaboration across all ecosystem players.

POSITION

We are looking for a German-based Vice President Procurement Consulting & Supplier Solutions DACH (all genders) who will play a pivotal role in shaping our consulting and procurement approach and the future landscape of the industry. This position is a key interface between customer needs and the supplier community, working closely with the DACH sales organization for business development and delivery. The incumbent will lead and develop a team of strategic consultants, analysts, and supplier account and experience managers in collaboration with global teams.

CHALLENGE

As VP Procurement Consulting and Supplier Solutions, you will:

• Pioneering Procurement Strategy: Develop a groundbreaking procurement strategy for clients focusing on excellence and innovation. Build industry expertise and promote it in the dynamic DACH market.
• Orchestrating the supplier ecosystem: Define HRS’ supplier strategy, develop your network within the local hospitality market, and communicate HRS’s value proposition.
• Convergence Catalyst: Lead efforts to bundle segments like transient, extended stay, groups, and small meetings to reduce complexity and increase buying power.
• Elevating Traveler Experience: Develop enhanced traveler experiences for supply partners, showcasing HRS’s value and establishing it as a strategic partner.
• Market Ambassador: Represent HRS at industry events and act as the face of the procurement practice in DACH.
• Selling Personality: Support go-to-market strategies and develop promotional activities to increase awareness and strategic account engagement.
• Collaborative Innovation Engine: Pilot new procurement concepts such as AI-based segmentation and attribute-based buying.
• End-to-end view: Integrate customer and supplier perspectives to maximize team impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A university degree, preferably an MBA in business administration.
• Extensive experience in project management within management or procurement consultancy, especially in travel segments (hospitality preferred).
• Ability to manage complex ecosystems and develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Proven network in the industry, ideally within the German hospitality market.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; public speaking experience is a must.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and embrace change.
• Understanding of complex interdependencies and relevant metrics for performance improvement.
• Fluency in German and English, spoken and written.
