Our client is a manufacturing and warehouse storage focused business part of a larger private investment firm that focuses on sustainable investments and distressed strategies across private markets. Due to continued growth across their Western European function, they are now seeking a Financial Controller to join their finance team in Frankfurt on a permanent basis.

Collaborating with senior management across the business, the Financial Controller will take responsibility for the following duties :

• Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and company policies for all financial records and reporting.
• Supervise the preparation of precise and timely financial statements and reports.
• Evaluate financial performance, offering insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Design, track, and optimize annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.
• Direct forecasting initiatives to anticipate revenue, expenditures, and cash flow, adjusting strategies as market conditions evolve.
• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Guarantee compliance with all regulatory and tax reporting obligations.
• Lead internal and external audit processes, implementing suggested improvements to strengthen financial controls.
• Supervise cash flow management to support both operational and investment requirements.
• Formulate strategies for efficient cash management, covering investments, debt servicing, and working capital optimization.
• Enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial workflows and boost accuracy.
• Upgrade and maintain accounting systems and controls to uphold best practices and ensure data integrity.

The Financial Controller will meet the following criteria :

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA, CMA, or CFA certification preferred.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
