We are a cross-disciplinary team of experts as part of the BMW BCCC (Battery Cell Competence Centre) working on evaluating next-generation-technology battery cells (Gen6) for automotive use.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate requirements for next-generation-technology battery cells in future electrical energy storage systems for electric vehicles with internal stakeholders and external partners.
2. Develop innovative concepts for automotive battery cells and subcomponents within a team of international experts as part of the BMW Battery Cell Competence Centre (BCCC).
3. Plan and secure internal and external test resources on cell level.
4. Test and validate safety and mechanical aspects of the battery cell and its components to meet requirements.
5. Prepare test data, analyze and document test results, and compile and report findings.

Requirements:

• University degree in electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, materials sciences, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• In-depth professional experience in electric storage technologies, particularly battery cells.
• Knowledge of battery cell production/processes.
• Extensive experience in testing and validation of battery cells.
• Experience working with international suppliers.
• Analytical thinking.
• Fluency in English, German is desirable.
