Location

The primary workplace is Hamburg near the Finkenwerder aircraft production site, with options for ferry commute. The role involves deployment at Airbus Bremen during operational needs, returning to Hamburg afterwards.

The successful candidate will join the Airbus Protect testing team within the Sustainability Business Unit, supporting resilience and future readiness through expertise in industrial processes, products, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Testing and quality assurance of hardware and software systems
• Creating, executing, and reporting tests; verifying system functionality
• Participating in system tests and improving aircraft system maturity
• Implementing new testing methods, including virtual testing and automation
• Reproducing events on avionics test benches for investigations
• Supporting certification through testing and analysis
• Defining and validating test benches and laboratory requirements
• Analyzing test data and documenting results

Qualifications

A relevant degree in Aeronautics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or comparable fields, or vocational training with extensive subject-specific qualifications. Equivalent experience is also acceptable.

Desired Skills and Competences

• Experience in system testing and flight control surfaces
• Data analysis skills; V&V process knowledge
• Proficiency in Python, Simulink/MATLAB; data science is a plus
• Analytical, problem-solving, organized, and autonomous with good communication skills
• Language skills: German and English at negotiation level
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
