HomeToGo is looking for a Accounting Expert (m/f/d) who will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all accounting-related processes for our Marketplace entities. In this role, you are responsible for the quality and completeness of monthly and annual financial statements for selected legal entities in accordance with German GAAP (HGB). The focus is on technical accounting expertise rather than operational booking. You will serve as a key contact for accounting-related matters, tax topics, and complex financial processes.

How you’ll add value

• Review and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB

• General ledger reconciliations, accruals, and provisions

• Preparation and analysis of cash flow statements and liability schedules

• Intercompany reconciliations, including group structures and asset deals

• Accounting implementation of new payment service providers (clearing logic, etc.)

• Support on VAT matters, including intra-community transactions

• Collaboration with tax advisors, auditors, and controlling

• Technical coaching and knowledge transfer within the accounting team

You’ll be successful in this role if you

• Several years of experience in accounting with a focus on HGB

• Confident handling of complex accounting issues

• Experience in financial statement review and closing processes, with high ownership

• Solid understanding of VAT, ideally also in cross-border contexts

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (FI module) and proficient in Excel

• Structured and independent working style combined with a strong team mindset

• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
