The CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Community manages Covestro’s financial processes. It is also responsible for providing legal services and IT solutions to the company as a whole.

Within the central Finance and Insurance division, we - Corporate Treasury (CT) - are responsible for the Group's cash management, market price risk management through the use of financial instruments, asset management, pension, and the Group's financing.

Our responsibilities include:

1. Monitoring and analysis of relevant financial risks such as foreign exchange, interest rate, equity, raw material price risk, including energy;
2. Execution of financial hedges considering risk limits and policies;
3. Development and optimization of Covestro’s global risk management and hedging processes;
4. Planning and execution of short-term investments in line with Covestro’s liquidity risk policy;
5. Supporting and enabling automation and digitalization of processes and financial analysis tools within Corporate Treasury;
6. Further developing and supporting the preparation of Management Reports;
7. Supporting the Cash Management Team in daily operational processes;
8. Contributing to and supporting a broad range of cross-functional projects.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• University degree preferably in Economics, with ideally some initial experience in treasury-related business;
• Strong analytical skills, including quantitative methods, and a good understanding of financial markets and derivative products;
• Profound knowledge of economics and its implications on foreign exchange, interest rate markets, and global asset classes;
• Digital native with programming skills such as VBA, Python, SQL (advantageous) to help advance digitalization of treasury processes;
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and build good working relationships;
• Effective interaction and negotiation skills at all levels with internal and external counterparties;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
