Jobbeschreibung

Train Electrical Domain Lead (f/m/d)

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Train Electrical Domain Lead (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. You’ll report to Patrick Mösch and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

In this role, you will lead the Domain for Electrical Integration within the Train Electrical Metier at the Train Development Site Hennigsdorf.

We’ll look for you to:

  • Ensure the proper follow-up of the Metier Quality and Delivery on Domain Workpackages for the Site.
  • Ensure understanding and application of the TD rules, processes and tools (single-domain).
  • Ensure that design reviews (single domain) are prepared and documented as per the project/program schedule and follow-up the main open actions.
  • Ensure proper collaborative work with other Domains/Metier/Departments.
  • Define mitigation plans covering a risk identified on the Domain scope.
  • Manage the development of the site Domain team to ensure the adequacy of capacity vs workload vs skills and the transfer of activities if needed.
  • Define Domain fixed costs and workload to secure project QCD commitments and formalize hypothesis taken.
  • Define Electrical or Mechanical Domain architecture taking into account weight, gauge, installation strategy, acoustics, and eco.
  • Allocate adequate resources to the projects/programs/tenders.
  • Apply and follow-up the People Management Cycle on time for Domain team according to N+1 and HR instructions.
  • Support the Domain team in the resolution of issues and challenging actions (multi-domains) particularly those involving other stakeholders (internal or external).
  • Report on Domain activities progress and alert in case of main issues (capacity, skills, rule applicability, etc.).
  • Validate relevant Domain deliverables and secure planning.
  • Signal issues and/or make proposals to TE or TD Central Engineering that would contribute to the continuous improvement of the Domain.
  • Collaborate with the Central Engineering team for continuous improvement of the Metier (including RoE).

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering applied to Railway products (or Automotive domain or Aerospace domain) with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience of 3+ years team management.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Conflict management and multitasking.
  • Customer focus / management skills.
  • Structured and organized with a hands-on approach.
  • Language skills: English fluent, German intermediate.

Things You’ll Enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Experience a dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company for green mobility.
  • Enjoy a competitive remuneration package (IG Metall), 30 days of vacation, and benefits such as company pension plans and subsidized “Deutschlandticket” (Job Ticket).
  • Optimize work-life balance with flexible working hours and hybrid working models.
  • Explore growth opportunities and steer your career across functions and countries.
  • Benefit from excellent training opportunities through our award-winning Alstom University and participate in the company's innovation culture through idea management programmes.
  • Thrive in a modern and collaborative workplace featuring mentor and buddy programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives, CSR activities, and engaging employee events.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
