Job Brief

• The Solution Engineer understands how software and technology are used to help solve complex business challenges.
• The Solution Engineer supports software sales activities throughout the sales cycle but does not sell software directly.
• This role is vital in helping Sphera meet revenue targets and assisting clients in achieving their business objectives.

General Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective customers to understand their business objectives.
• Assess value with prospects to identify pains and align solutions.
• Consult on internal business cases and create compelling value propositions.
• Conduct software demonstrations and presentations showcasing benefits aligned with client objectives.
• Collaborate with product management to provide feedback for innovation.
• Coordinate with implementation teams to ensure project success.
• Assist sales teams in developing strategies using best practices.
• Prepare tender documentation like RFI, RFP, RFQ.
• Support marketing by presenting webinars, writing papers, and speaking at conferences.
• Contribute to internal training, technology updates, and thought leadership.
• Travel 10-20% onsite, including occasional international trips.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BS/BA in engineering, computer science, supply chain, occupational safety, or related field within Operational Risk Management.
• Experience with Supply Chain software preferred.
• Subject matter expertise in supply chain risk, supplier portals, ESG scope 3, CSRD, etc.
• Comfort with public speaking and presentations to small- and medium-sized audiences.
• At least 5 years’ experience with data management software.
• Strong analytical, planning, and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and high initiative.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of sales cycles, sales acumen, and marketing skills.
