Job Summary

Summary:

To support our Global R&D team, we are currently looking for a Software Engineering Manager located in Stuttgart, DE. Reporting to the Global Software Director, the Software Engineering Manager will drive technical direction, manage projects, ensure high-quality software delivery, and oversee and mentor a development team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership to a software engineering team.
• Interface with customers and third-party suppliers.
• Assess software projects and align them with Flex's capabilities.
• Drive projects involving Power Electronics and Compute ECUs.
• Act as project owner with a comprehensive understanding of software projects.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and accurate project estimates.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in electrical engineering or computer science with an electronics background.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive or related industries with complex software projects.
• Experience in software development for vehicle bus communication and high-speed interfaces.
• Knowledge of EE architecture; Autosar experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automotive functional safety standards (ISO26262, Cyber Security, Automotive SPICE).
• Fluent in English; German language skills are beneficial.

Preferred Skills:

• Deep experience with embedded C software, quality assurance, and CI/CD toolchains.
• Knowledge of connectivity systems and gateways.
