Job Description:

The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position can be office-based or fully remote from one of the following countries: Germany, Ireland or the UK.

It’s time to bring your best and make your mark. Personio is a modern all-in-one HR operating system that customers love. As one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology companies, we are helping back-office teams across the continent become more effective, efficient, and strategic while reducing the effort by all employees to perform HR processes. Our core purpose is to enable better organizations by helping businesses put their people first.

We are looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to join our Payroll product area where you will play a crucial role in a key pillar of the business. This is a strategic and rewarding role that will work cross-functionally with customers, other technical teams, and senior leadership to ensure a best in class product experience as well as looking at opportunities for expansion. You will be responsible for developing strategy in different areas of our payroll product in a highly regulated and complex environment.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Develop a deep understanding of the market as well as our customers, their pains and jobs-to-be-done.
  • Systematically analyze user feedback and usage data gathered qualitatively through Customer interaction and from quantitative sources
  • Create and align teams around strategic goals, relevant KPIs and a respective product roadmap often across Domain boundaries
  • Plan, enable, and execute against a product roadmap based on an objectively prioritized backlog that spans multiple teams
  • Lead specific complex topics within the product that extend across Domain boundaries
  • Decompose complex problems and write clear specifications
  • Manage product delivery in an agile setting and guide your team in all sprint activities
  • Drive outsized business results via their direct contributions
  • Mentor and coach Senior Product Managers as a Senior member of the Domain
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with fellow senior IC stakeholders such as Staff and Principal Engineers & UX
  • Evangelize their product area to actively increase wider organizational awareness and knowledge

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • At least 8 years experience in SaaS or a relevant technical area of Product Management, preferably in a regulated environment
  • Previous experience building product platforms, managing high levels of complexity and dependencies
  • Relevant experience in working with cross-functional teams in an agile setting applying Scrum
  • Any experience in a compliance heavy space would complete your profile
  • Experience mentoring other Senior Product Managers, and optionally experience managing a small team of Product Managers working on complex topics
  • Strong sense of ownership, ability to work independently in a result-oriented way
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English. (German or Spanish is a plus)

Why Personio

Personio is an equal opportunities employer, committed to building an integrative culture where everyone feels welcomed and supported. We embrace uniqueness and understand that our diverse, values-driven culture makes us stronger. We are proud to have an inclusive workplace environment that will foster your development no matter your gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, education level, or race.
