For our office in the Karlsruhe area, we are looking for a Software Engineer / Developer (m/f/d) Python in full time.

Job Description

The software engineering team at Nanoscribe develops software for controlling high-precision 3D printers. The software stack includes modules ranging from a Touch UI to numerical algorithms and hardware control, following a layered client/server architecture with various communication protocols.

As a member of the team, you will work on R&D projects alongside engineers and domain experts, contributing your ideas to product definitions.

Your Day To Day Tasks Will Include
  • Discussing and clarifying requirements with internal domain experts
  • Designing and developing algorithms optimized across software layers
  • Developing software that interacts with hardware components
  • Continuously optimizing software functionalities for scalability and performance
Your Profile
  • Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering
  • Several years of experience as a software engineer
  • Fluent in Python and comfortable navigating large codebases
  • Strong analytical skills and a desire to understand algorithms deeply
  • Experience with client/server architecture and multi-threaded software is a plus
  • Experience with near-hardware programming (e.g., interfacing with cameras and sensors) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Linux and CI pipelines is a plus
  • Motivated, team-oriented, and committed to writing clean code
  • Work permit for the EU is required
