Head of AI Products & Engineering (m/f/d)

Your skillset

• Tech Stack & AI Expertise: You are proficient and hands-on in Python (Javascript/Typescript is a plus), have extensive experience developing production-ready AI/ML applications, as well as MLOps practices and cloud architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• AI Productization & Scaling: You have a proven track record of successfully introducing and scaling AI products—from research to production in a live environment.
• Leadership & Growth Enablement: You are a passionate leader, helping your team to achieve great results and fostering an AI-driven culture within the company.
• Academic Background: You hold a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, preferably with a focus on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: You communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, can explain complex AI concepts in an understandable way, and are fluent in both English and German in your interactions.

Your mission

As the Head of AI Products & Engineering at yoummday in our Munich or Berlin office (hybrid model), you will be pivotal in defining our AI strategy and leading the technological evolution of our company. You will develop cutting-edge AI products end to end with a focus on NLP products with a talented team of AI, software engineers, and a product manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Strategy & Vision: Work closely with the executive team to develop a forward-thinking AI strategy and take full ownership in executing it.
• End-to-End AI Product Development: Own the discovery, architecture, development, and scaling of AI-driven products to help our customers excel in customer service. With a great team of full-stack developers, AI engineers, and product people, full autonomy is guaranteed.
• Generative AI & NLP Innovation: Use cutting-edge innovations in Generative AI, LLMs, and NLP to enrich our platform with intelligent automation and conversational AI.
• Machine Learning & MLOps: Ensure that our AI infrastructure remains modern, scalable, and high-performance—from model training to deployment.
• Entrepreneurial Freedom: Train and finetune your own models or use proprietary systems for your product and engineering innovations - you set the scene and have the means to do so.
