Jobbeschreibung

This position is responsible for managing Pipe Coatings customers in Europe and North Africa, mainly focusing on powder and liquid coatings. The segment includes pipe mills, pipe coaters, valve and fittings manufacturers, and field joint coaters. It involves both technical and sales tasks.

The role reports to the Segment Director, EMEAI, and can be home-based within Europe.

  1. Serve as the primary contact for Sherwin’s relationships with designated customers in the EU.
  2. Evaluate potential deals by analyzing market strategies, requirements, potential, and financials.
  3. Close new business by coordinating requirements, negotiating contracts, and integrating these with business operations.
  4. Maintain confidentiality to protect the organization's value.
  5. Enhance professional knowledge through education, publications, networking, and industry participation.
  6. Create and implement account plans with specific strategies for each target sub-segment.
  7. Address customer inquiries, understand product lines and applications, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Complete all necessary documentation promptly, including sales and monthly reports and lab requests.
  9. Collect and report market intelligence.
  10. Participate in industry events and network effectively.
  11. Manage P&L for assigned accounts.
Technical Service and Customer Approval Responsibilities
  1. Participate in product trials and project startups, providing technical support to achieve coating performance and process efficiencies. Proactively analyze and optimize coating processes for smooth implementation. Act as a trusted technical advisor.
  2. Promote Sherwin Williams' strengths in technology, quality, and speed, emphasizing value and differentiation through understanding customer needs and market dynamics.
  3. Support R&D by prioritizing product development aligned with market and customer requirements.
  4. Attend technical meetings to secure product approvals, provide technical reports, and follow up until products are specified, prioritizing end-user engagement.
  5. Coordinate with internal teams to support product development and regional production activities, fostering business growth.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Material or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and additional languages.
  • Willingness to travel within the EMEAI region.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills.
  • Over 10 years of industry experience in pipe coatings.
