Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative System Engineer Power Distribution to join our team. You will ensure that the aircraft's high voltage and low voltage power distribution systems and components meet all functional, performance, certification, and safety requirements. Your role involves authoring and reviewing design data, testing, inspection, and analysis documentation to enable certification and operation of the Power Distribution System, integrated with the aircraft's electrical, mechanical, thermal, and logical interfaces. Strong communication skills and technical expertise are essential to drive the system's design towards optimal performance and compliance.

Your mission during this flight:

• Collaborate with other Power Distribution System Engineers to develop high and low voltage power distribution components such as high voltage power centers, circuit breaker panels, low voltage emergency batteries, and electrical control panels.
• Work on various development elements and their interfaces, including batteries, battery management systems, electric motors, and avionics systems.
• Author and review internal and supplier design data, testing, inspection, and analysis documentation demonstrating compliance.
• Develop and review Electrical and Communication Interface Control Documents.
• Manage the release of Power Distribution System parts in the Engineering Bill of Materials.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulations like SC-VTOL, ARP-4754, DO-254, DO-178, and DO-160.
• Work closely with certification engineers to meet certification requirements.
• Review supplier documentation and address non-compliances.
• Support safety assessments and collaborate with testing teams for validation and verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in aerospace or equivalent complex systems development, especially electrical system components and integration.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools like Integrity, Doors, Polarion.
• Ability to author and review technical documents.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of electrical components used in aviation.
• Knowledge of electrical magnitudes and monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with high voltage safety standards.
