Job Description:

FINN drives change for people, organizations, and the planet through frictionless mobility. Offering convenient and flexible car subscriptions, we bring a true e-commerce experience to car ownership and accelerate the arrival of electric mobility. Join our fast-growing scale-up to make FINN the natural choice in Europe. We work with the best car brands in the world and are backed by leading global investors.

Your Role

As an Associate Backend Engineer on our Operations team, you will have an impact that influences the experience of our customers as well as the efficiency of our Fleet Managers. You ensure that we have a seamless, best-in-class customer experience and that our processes are running smoothly and are highly scalable. This includes building integrations with our partners, internal tools for our Fleet Managers, and customer-facing solutions.

Why FINN?

  • Flexibility to work either in our Munich office or remotely ±3 hours of CET/CEST.
  • Full visa and relocation support for you and your family.
  • Excellent fixed salary with equity participation in the company.
  • Additional yearly development budget of €1,500 and an enabling environment to enhance your skills.
  • An open-minded community to be welcomed from day one and fun team events with amazing colleagues.
  • Access to discounted gym memberships and attractive mobility options (discounts for FINN cars via JobAuto or tax benefits via JobRad).

Your Responsibilities

  • Do it, do it, automate it: Simplify, automate, and optimize processes that are currently carried out manually using no-code tools like Make or Retool (20%) and solid hard code implementation (80%).
  • You build it, you run it: Build features and take ownership for testing, deployment, and monitoring of your code. Yes, we believe in Serverless!
  • Share your technical expertise: Play a driving technical role in the Backend team. Share your technical knowledge and engineering best practices, and shape technical discussions to deliver the best solutions.

Your Profile

  • Experience in software engineering with a hands-on mindset.
  • Experience with Javascript and Typescript.
  • Knowledge in SQL, Docker, and building HTTP APIs or serverless applications is a plus.
  • Experience with Git and traditional PR review processes is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an agile development team.
  • Strong growth mindset and motivation to continuously improve self and team performance.
  • Fluency in English.

Compensation: €55,000 - €68,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications, plus VSOP. The salary range reflects our fair assessment at the time of posting and may change in the future.
