As our new Senior Innovation Manager Health, you will monitor technological advances in your field, build relationships with internal stakeholders and the academic community, evaluate promising opportunities, and steer activities to pursue those opportunities. You will play a key role in bringing innovative solutions to fields such as microsurgery and medical technology.

You will:

• Drive innovation in microsurgery (neuro/spine, ENT, dental) by identifying and evaluating opportunities within the intersection of desirability, feasibility, and viability.
• Use your understanding of surgical workflows and related technologies to identify underserved needs in collaboration with surgeons.
• Propose and champion new projects within the organization.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, technology experts, and external partners to identify new business opportunities.
• Contribute to ZEISS's success through your application knowledge and understanding of customer needs, initiating and guiding development projects.
• Expand and maintain a network of surgeons in microsurgical disciplines.

Your Profile

• Deep understanding of surgical workflows and related technologies in microsurgery (neuro/spine, ENT, dental).
• A university degree in medicine with an interest in medical product development or in medical engineering, data science, or economics with a similar interest.
• Proven experience managing research and/or development projects, preferably with international involvement.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with an ability to deal effectively with customers, colleagues, and scientific partners.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Passion for innovation, enthusiasm for new technologies, and enjoyment working in agile, interdisciplinary teams.
